Here comes awesome! Festy Season is underway!

Festival season is upon us and I cannot be more excited to get to my first festival. 36 days and counting and I will be Summercamp Music Festival bound. Cannot wait to see friends and experience some great music. With Coachella in California just winding down after last weekend I am safe to say that the season is now officially underway. That Snoop Dogg and Dr. Dre performance was amazing!

Since my last update I am proud to say that Punlive will officially be covering Electric Forest and Hoxeyville music festivals as Media. I will also be covering Summercamp and Allgood, but not with media credentials! Maybe next year ;)

I have been enjoying getting out to local music and shooting some of the scene. There is a lot of bands out there and I don't plan to stop covering music anytime soon. I run into so many wonderfully talented people. It feels amazing to be respected by a few of them :)

I hope to make you all some great videos this year. Ramping up the post production on my videos is my first focus. I really can't wait to use some of my new video/photos to create some great professional coverage. Excited to get to a festival with the new camera and see what I can accomplish shot wise. Summercamp will be a great start to get the feel for the types of shots I can take. Summercamp has the best lineup of music IMO so it's going to be mainly about the music. Expect some in depth reviews of a show or two this year. Once my feet hit the ground at Electric Forest it is going to be another story. The lineup is not that overall intriguing to me music wise (except cheese!), but I do expect one of the craziest and wildest experiences of my life. I plan to bring as much of that experience back to you all. I know musically Electric Forest might not be my bag of chips, but there is no way I could ever miss an opportunity to spend time with my friends in the greatest place on earth. It is going to be a whole new level of awesome and I wouldn't miss a chance to be back in it, EVER!

Since I won't be running from stage to stage non stop all weekend like I will at Summercamp, I plan to use that time wisely getting all the photos and clips of the vibe that I can. Expect something really interesting and tons better than last years coverage. I really cannot wait! I have so many ideas for types of videos and shots I want to do. You will see me running all over the festival grounds waving my monopod/tripod in the air running from one spot to another getting great shots hopefully :)

I also want to get with a few of the acts at the festival as I didn't do any artist interviews last year. Expect that to change this year. Not sure who I want to target yet, but I will find someone interesting :)

I really want to cover the crowd reaction. I am going to be doing short interviews and working to get on the spot commentary from festival goers. I can't wait to see how that will go.

That is what is currently on the Pungenda right now. Here is the list:

Local Spotlight - The Macpodz & The Deep End

Drove out to Mt Pleasant last night to check out the Punlive favorite The Macpodz and also check out a newcomer called The Deep End. Had a great time. The Deep End featured a heavier rock set with a lot of rock sounding influences. To me it was more Umphrey's like but their sound varied enough to not always sound like that. Really enjoyed checking them out.

Did not catch any quality video of the Macpodz, but check out our latest pictures for a few of the guys. Their last show with all 5 original members is Saturday. It was nice seeing them all one last time before their next iteration. I will be sure to catch up with The Macpodz again at Hoxeyville and Allgood music festivals.

Here is a clip from The Deep End.
